Booking.com falsely advertises room rates!

Liked: The hotel was fine and handy to my event.
Disliked: I did not appreciate booking.com advertising the room price at $44.00, which I paid only to find the hotel was really charging $94.00. I therefore paid the $50.00 difference to the hotel. I WILL NEVER book using booking.com again and advise others to do the same. Your false advertising is terrible, and I may report your company to our Public & Consumer Affairs Department.
