Great hotel in central Hanover!

Liked: The hotel has an unbeatable location, just a short walk from the opera, old town, main railway and metro stations, shops, and restaurants. It is literally on the Red Thread ("Roter Faden") 4km walking route, which makes exploring Hannover easy and fun. The staff were absolutely wonderful - friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and two types of pillows. I also really enjoyed the cozy lobby, which was a great spot to sit and relax after a city walk, so we appreciated the convenience of having the check-in desk and bar available 24-7. Good coffee too! Parking at the nearby parking garages is 10% off when validated at reception, .e.g. the one we used near the Opera, which plays classical music!
Disliked: The only real downside for me was the breakfast. It costs an extra 18 euros per person for a continental buffet, which felt a bit steep for what was offered and what this gets you in e.g. Cafe Extrablatt next door. The lobby IS the breakfast area, though, so you might, like us, end up eating at low tables during busy time. Perhaps it is the price of the central location and otherwise affordable rooms.

Liked: When you look for Hannover, the red line will come up. This is right on the red line. The red line is a route to explore the city painted on the walkway. The staff was exceptional (the person we interacted with was awarded and I concur). The room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Everything was clean. The place is convenient to walk and explore the city. We also enjoyed our coffee breakfast. The lobby is very comfortable and enjoyable to sit and relax.
