Had a short stay, but...
Liked: Not far from the town center, close and very accessible from the motorway. Free parking and was actually offered a garage. Very friendly and helpful receptionist and the room was very clean.
Disliked: Free parking

Hidden motel-gem
Liked: The design is all very old but authentic motel-style and that in the middle of Hamburg. The breakfast was very qualitative and extensive. Staff very friendly. The garage underneath the room which we used for our bike is super practical.
Disliked: The room wasn’t very dark at night. Someone was talking on the phone late at night on the patio which you could hear in the room.

Superb
Liked: You get everything you'd expect. A nice, although fairly small room. Parking just outside your room for free, wifi works well. There's tons of kebab restaurants nearby and even groceries a short walk away.

Charming retro Motel in a...
Liked: Just an incredibly charming hotel in the style of old American motels and presumably a fantastic place to stay if you have a vehicle with you which I did not. But the entire aesthetic of the place is retro and the fittings and interior was all very old but did not feel in any way cheap or fragile or anything like that. The staff were very friendly and the room had everything I needed. However, since I was staying for such a short time I might have missed not having things like a coffee machine or whatever in there if I had been staying there for longer than I was. The location is fantastic as you can very easily make your way to pretty much any other part of Hamburg and the street that it is on. Has multiple shops selling pretty much anything you would need.
Disliked: I do like hard mattresses but the bed was a little too hard even for me and the noise separation isn't quite up to the scratch compared to other hotels. But again a lot of this is probably down to the age of the building and it wasn't enough to keep me up at night. I just was very aware that I could hear people moving around outside the room when they came in but it wasn't enough to disturb me. While the breakfast was of a very similar type to many other hotels, I have stayed in in Germany it was lacking warm options, which is not a typical for smaller German hotels and it would be the same slight negative point I would have for all hotels and motels of this type, but it was not enough for it to be an issue. Really, it's just worth bearing in mind as a general tip to people traveling in Germany. If you're used to a full hot breakfast in the English or American style, you frequently will get something which is much closer to a continental breakfast with a very German Edge to it with cold meats and things like that. None of this is to say in any way that I had a negative experience staying there and the next time I need to be in that part of Hamburg be it for business or pleasure I will definitely return
