Liked: The room was very clean and fairly modern. Also nice to park right outside the door.
Disliked: The hotel was stated as pet friendly and they charge an extra $40 for our pet. The amount of this pet fee is excessive. There was limited restaurants near the hotel location and you need to drive to find a restaurant.

No frills motor lodge somewhat...

Liked: Not much to like here. The door locked and the bathroom worked and it is relatively close to a walking path on the river.
Disliked: Motel Champlain is a motor lodge right off a major thoroughfare. If a room is what you're looking for, look no further. However, there are no added comforts; the room is stark, small, and dark. The property is honestly pretty sketchy, I would not recommend.
