Horrible

Liked: It was by far, the worst experience I've had.
Disliked: The staff was rude and even got in a verbal altercation with a lady before me because she had requested a non-smoking room and gotten a smoking room and was going through Chemo. They had no clean rooms when I arrived and about 6 other cars with people also were waiting. I waited 2 hours and was in line. She told me I couldn't just stand at the front desk so I moved to the side. Out of nowhere another person walked up and she immediately gave him a room (he literally just drove up and parked). Then, it happened again! I was polite because I was exhausted and the lady at the front desk was so defensive and confrontational. Three other people stood behind the desk with her and they ignored everyone. No rooms were being cleaned. Couldn't at least one been re-assigned to clean a couple of rooms? Once I got my room, it smelled like smoke even though it said it was non smoking. There was a roach in the bathroom. The guy in the room next to me sat outside in a chair with a plunger while he smoked. Two shady looking people sat on the stairs and would not move aside as I tried to get by to take my luggage up. The room seemed dirty so I brought up a beach blanket and slept in that. Honestly, it was horrible. But had the staff had one iota of courteous demeaner, I would probably have felt better about it.

Liked: Staff was somewhat helpful but ...
Disliked: They didn't honor my reservation after a pretty early time in my opinion. I was there by 9pm and maybe because of Hurricane Milton, they started taking First come first served, so i was forced to pay cash at a spot that didn't feel very safe. I tried to let them know I was on my way and still planning to stay, but it didn't help.

Liked: Waffle House across the street
Disliked: Room reaked of smoke, had a cock roach crawl out of the shower drain. Shower looked like it should've been in the Bates Motel. Bed was just slightly better than a pull out couch.

rude staff

Liked: they didn't honor the booking reservation we were leaving Florida because of hurricane Milton and because these rude hotel staff blamed booking.com saying they informed booking.com they were renting rooms on first come first serve. therefore we had to drive 300 miles north for a motel.

Bad

Disliked: didnt get to stay because the didnt close online reservations. drove 7+ hours just to be denied with no other hotels in the area available late at night.

They sold my pre-booked room...

Disliked: Pre booked 3 nights and paid in advance. Upon arrival the motel said they'd given away the room. We'd been driving for 7 hours to escape the hurricane in Florida. Had to sleep in the car. Never saw the inside of the hotel. Told them I was arriving late in advance. This is pure selfish greed and the opposite of customer service.

overbooked our room after 9...

Liked: we have no idea. when we got there they had given our room to someone else. we ended up sleeping in our truck . the lady at the desk did her best to find us a room. and gave me a pillow to use. we gave it back before we left .she also unlocked and let us use the restroom 🚻 and
Disliked: the fact we booked a room and they overbooked and gave it to someone else. us along with 3 others who had booked because we all live in Florida and were evacuated.. my health is not good and sleeping in the truck caused me extreme pain .
