Motel from hell!

Liked: The room was clean. The guy at the desk when we checked out, was very nice and explained why our shower was cold. The bathroom contained one tiny bar of Dove soap. My wife used it for her shower, dropped it in the tub. When she looked for it; honest to God, it had washed down the drain. So glad I had my own soap. How cheesy can you get. One miniature bar of soap, and ice bucket and 2 cups. I wish you could see the video footage I took!
Disliked: I wanted badly to watch the Bengals v Chargers game Sunday night. I went to the front desk 3 separate times to get my remote straightened out. All to no avail. We only got one unwanted channel for our stay. I had the same problem on a previous stay. The lady at the desk during the evening could use an attitude adjustment, very unprofessional! The day guy at least explained why our shower was cold. Next time we'll leave to run it for 20 minutes before showering. I told my wife that we get what we pay for, but that doesn't excuse the fact that service and satisfaction is poor. And right near Notre Dame Campus. Appalling to say the least. The wife. has always liked Motel 6, for reasons I can't comprehend. But it leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!

Pleasant

Liked: It was close to Notre Dame campus and plenty of restaurants.
Disliked: Bed linens were stained and bed was thin and uncomfortable. Free coffee served was full of coffee grinds.

Liked: Staff was friendly. Very pet friendly and close enough to catch the Notre Dame game.

Liked: Great location, friendly counter staff, good coffee, decent tv and beds
Disliked: Room floor could have been cleaned better and table seemed dirty. Also, coffee ran out and didn't get refilled when I was there.

My Motel 6 experience

Liked: Peaceful and quiet. A couple of the employees were very nice, and hospitable. Location was great for access to restaurants, and other needs.
Disliked: No microwave on premise. Phone in room did not work. At check-in I was informed that my room key would not function, and I would need to have front desk person let me back into my room any time I go out
