Staff was helpful in replacing the phone that didn't work and the bedspread that had holes and stains. Despite requesting double occupancy there was only one bed (I guess they assumed we were fine with sleeping together?). The wind howled all night from the large gap under the door. There was no alarm clock, pictures on the walls or carpeting. The TV did not work correctly despite staff's best efforts. Very pleasant staff. Very dismal hotel.
Liked: Staff.
Disliked: TV didn't work correctly. Bedspread needed to be changed out (holes and stains). No carpet. Wide gap under door let wind howl.

Liked: I had no breakfast. The morning person was helpful and an amazing asset to your business. She was polite, concise, and efficient. I'd come back just to see her smiling face:-)
Disliked: The door to my room was difficult to lock, i.e, not a good situation.

Hotel very poorly managed and...

Disliked: Our room was not ready upon arrival...and we arrived 3 hours AFTER our scheduled check-in. Check-in time at the hotel is 2pm, and I opted for a 3pm arrival when I booked the room, which was confirmed by the hotel prior to our arrival date. We arrived at the hotel a little after 6pm and the hotel did not have a clean room available for us. I paid for our room when I made the reservation and the employee at the front desk told me he would have to charge me for a SECOND room and then I would have to request a refund from Booking.com for my original reservation if we wanted a room in the next couple of hours because the room we had "reserved" was not available. My original reservation was non-refundable but we were desperate and needed a room because we had an event at 7pm that we had to get cleaned up and dressed for after a long drive. After we agreed to paying for a second room, the employee tried to run my card and he made a mistake during the process which put us in another predicament trying to figure out if/what funds were charged to my credit card at the time of check-in. After complicating things so much, he never ended up charging my card for the "second" reservation and he somehow managed to get us into a clean room after giving us the runaround about not having a clean room for us. We were happy to get into a room, but the employee at the front desk was unprofessional, unfriendly, and abrasive. He wasn't understanding of the tough situation that the hotel's inadequacies had put us in and the hotel was clearly not managed well. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

Liked: Location was noisy, ie trains. I don’t remember the breakfast at all.
Disliked: Room was so basic, generic, everything fastened down. Absolutely no extras. It did seem to be clean.

Disliked: I booked my room a few months ago, when i checked in the only room available was the one that smelled like cigarette smoke. we didn't check in late either probably around 5:30-6
