Good

Not bad but not good.

Liked: The building was secure with fencing all the way around. The hotel still offers room service and the showers get nice and hot. The room and fixtures were old but clean. Room has satellite television. Excellent lighting, and the knockout curtains make it nice and dark. Great for dealing with jet lag.
Disliked: Not enough bed sheets or comforters. The bedding was cold. The room's heater barely kept the room above 72 F. The room and bedding smelled like they had been weed smoked then deodorized. The outer comforter also had cigarette burn holes in it.

Liked: Ran the St Jude Marathon... Great location maybe a mile from start and finish. Great price and helpful staff.

Unforgettable for the wrong reasons

Disliked: Felt like you were in a prison compound with the security fencing and electric gates for both vehicles & pedestrians. This is probably done because it’s not in the best location in Memphis. There was a lot of noise outside during the night from a group of people playing loud music & revving car engines, sounded like they were doing donuts in the parking area. Total power failure early in the morning, fortunately on our departure day, so we packed up in the dark and left at 7.30am. Keycards wouldn’t open the pedestrian gate when we’d been out to get food so had to get them reset at the office window. Wouldn’t stay here again and probably avoid Motel 6 in the future.
