Liked: I’m having a hard time thinking of anything positive.
Disliked: We booked for a Pet friendly King Bed room, yet once we got there they told us they gave away the last “pet friendly” King Bed room and put us in a double bed room even though we marked online that we had a 12 week old puppy with, and when I asked them if they’d give us a rate break for the inconvenience, as we paid for the room, and they refused. Told us that king rooms were the same rate as double bed rooms are. Whatever, didn’t have a choice at midnight. Took the double bed room, at least expecting a decent night’s sleep before the long 14 hour drive the following day (not counting pit stops) to reach the next hotel. Boy, was I wrong! So not only was it a pain to find (thank heavens for Google Maps!), but the hallways REEKED of “Ditch” Cannabis. We’re talking that overwhelming eye watering skunky smell. Someone was just straight up smoking weed in their room, just utter and sheer disrespect to policies with a lack of enforcement by the staff. We get into the room and it smelled old, and musky. There was very little Toilet Paper in the bathroom, no plug for the tub and tub looked like it’d been sitting unattended to for awhile, skipped the shower. Beds were godawful. Felt like we spent the night sleeping on a bed of rocks. Sleeping on the floor would’ve been a step up because it’d at least feel smooth. Mind you, my hubby is 300+ lb, and I’m 140lbs, So definitely doesn’t matter what body type you got - those beds are AWFUL. Never staying at this motel again. So yeah, as far as motels go, this one is the type that gives the rest a bad rap. Very disappointing.
