Motel 6-Grand Rapids MI - Northeast, Grand Rapids

Poor housekeeping and all items in the room were overly cheap. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable.

Liked: Hooked us up with rooms quicker than expected
Disliked: Everything in rooms were broken, dirty and the cheapest toilet paper.

Ok for the price except...

Disliked: Being accused of smoking in a room, room was disgusting. The lady at the front desk obviously hated her job or people period. Stained bedding, daily change in prices, floors had drug paraphernalia all over, and they took 150 out of my bank account when despite all the negative things I could list I respected every inch of there property.

Strong Urine scent

Liked: I liked the location and price for two nights. Also the staff was nice and the rooms where spacious.
Disliked: From the moment I stepped inside the door, there was a strong smell of dog urine that was even noticeable in the hallway. I called the front desk to report the issue, and they said they would send someone to spray air freshener in the room. While it helped temporarily for the night, the odor returned the next day. I will not be returning.

Disliked: Girl that checked me in was rude, I made the statement that "people should mind their own biz." After she explained the pet stuff. She told me I couldn't talk to her like that (?) I said what? I didn't cuss, she said she could refuse my (pre booked) room !!! REALLY I asked if I could get a ground floor room, & was told I got the only room available for the booking.com price, so knowing that, what difference would saying anything make !!! It looks like a Homeless shelter, several people in wheelchairs hanging around the doors . 6 pit bull dogs rite outside the door when I went to go to my vehicle. Ice machine broken, air conditioner didn't work at all. Overall unpleasant!!! Had to climb under a desk to plug in my laptop only to find none of the (available) plug ins worked, not even in the bathroom.Did I mention I had my cat, & there was dog crap everywhere?Asked for a manager, early in the morning after asking about another ice machine on the premise. 10:30, new desk person, said they were sorry, Not the manager!!! Didn't make any efforts to make it better.
