Good

Cheap but don't expect much...

Liked: The location is across the street from a shopping center with a lot of activities. Downtown Monterey is only a few minutes in car and could be walkable. The area is quiet and well kept but still accesible by public transport.
Disliked: The bedding had stains and there were random hairs in our sheets. The TV has an unremovable demo mode that blocks 1/5 of the screen and the internet took 20 minutes to connect. I have seen other hotels in the area better rated for the same price.

Liked: Left very early. Also didn't know there was breakfast
Disliked: Coffee in the room is really terrible.

Liked: Nice room, good value for a simple place to sleep
Disliked: There were like things that didn't work like the refrigerator, and you can hear noises from other suites.

Exactly what we were looking...

Liked: For what it was, it was the perfect stay! Cheap and a place to keep our things while having a comfortable bed. The heater worked well and the shower was hot which were necessities for our stay.
Disliked: We stayed in a thursday night which apparently was street sweeping and trash night which came at 2 am and 6 am and was quite the surprise but that wasn’t the fault of the inn! It also could use a deep clean walls doors etc but everything was relatively clean and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Quick stay while passing thru

Liked: It was clean, safe and affordable.
Disliked: It was very loud due to other guests partying late. No elevator

Liked: Everything worked
Disliked: The air conditioning filter was filthy The staff got really unprofessional talking to us accused us of things we didn't do and threatened to charge my card for charges that didn't apply we ended up leaving and going to a different route
