One of the cheaper places...

Liked: Motel 6 was fairly inexpensive, although when taxes were added it was not a great deal. It is close to I-81, and close to downtown Bristol. Our room was quiet, and the area is safe.
Disliked: Our room had three small LED lamps {aside from the light in the bathroom} with about 40-watt equivalent for each. It would be difficult to comfortably read a book with this limited amount of light. We were provided one thin blanket, and there was no spare blanket in the room, so we were a bit chilly. The air conditioning and heating unit was noisy. Our bathroom smelled of mold, as there was water under the laminate floor {which felt squishy}. We were assigned a handicapped-access room although that was not a necessity, so there was a tub rather than a step-in shower. Breakfast is not available at the hotel, which has only vending machines and no food services. There is a Crackerbarrel Restaurant visiblke from the Motel 6, on the opposite side of I-81.
