Terrible, smoky night

Liked: I still plan on writing to Motel 6 corporate. I, having dogs, have almost always stayed at Motel 6s for 35 yrs, with only 1 mildly-off visit (not real clean). We drove right past this one, because the sign lighting was out, and it couldn't be a Motel 6: It was a huge, 3 story fancy building. The front desk lady was very nice, we were thankful for the handicap-accessibility for my mom, but i didn't realize it was a "smoking room" until we got there, last room (handicap) available. I didn't know that ANY hotels allowed any smoking anymore! The smell was very strong, but we were desperate for a place, so we stayed. At 3:30 a.m., a group of noisy people filled the hall, tried our door, yelled, talked loud, and slammed doors until I finally called the front desk at close to 5 ( I didn't want to endanger them). Motel 6s shouldn't ever be that large, methinks, because you can't keep your finger on the pulse of what's going on overall, and also, due to need to keep as many rooms rented as possible, the cost goes down but who knows what clientele that may attract? Not just thrifty, pet-loving ones, I'm afraid .It was an awful night, but it was a great mattress. :)

Liked: Emily, we definitely enjoyed the fact that it was dog friendly although I think they should make something a little bit more safe for the dogs to be able to go and use the bathroom
Disliked: So upon entering, we had to ring the bell multiple times the lady that came up seem very frustrated after we got checked in we went to the room. The TV would not work. I called down to let her know she came up change the batteries left and come back of batteries and got the TV working. Around bed time my husband wanted to take a shower. There was two towels, one washcloth, one hand towel and one tub mat for two people anybody knows that a woman needs at least two towels I didn’t call down and ask for new towels. The wooden floors look The wooden floors looked filthy. Looks like the cigarette burns all over the desk And the chair legs were filthy. The chairs were put upside down and we had to sit them upright, but touching them was just horrible. The fan in the restroom was broke.the beds were hard as a rock.
