Decent Stay, Good Price.
Liked: The Front Desk staff was very nice and helpful. Check in and check out was smooth and fast! The room itself was nice, and pretty clean. I appreciated the room having a microwave and a mini fridge also.
Disliked: There was construction going on in the next lot so there was some noise. The heater in the room was VERY loud every time it turned on it would startle me.

Clean, comfortable but, no hot...
Liked: Two of us came in early morning from a flight from Seattle and needed a place to sleep a few hours, get a hot shower, and shuttle to airport in the AM. The sleeping part was great as room was clean, beds comfortable and property quiet. Shuttle was included and was smooth and on-time.
Disliked: The hot shower part was a total fail. There was no hot water, so a cold shower was taken. Learned upon checkout that we needed to run the shower for 20 minutes to get hot water. We were not told this on check in and that is totally ridiculous! Definitely did not get our money's worth from this stay. Would not recommend!

Considering the quality of service...
Liked: No breakfast. Location has some pretty good food options close by. Rooms are clean and relatively new.
Disliked: Hotel staff often doesn’t relay to the contract airport shuttle service that they have a prearranged pickup to go to airport ahead of time, so the airport can is often considerably late, because the desk staff doesn’t notify them until the guest arrives downstairs shortly ahead of their expected van pickup time. More times than not, the van is at the airport and 20-25 minutes away at your expected departure time. Unacceptable. Showers take 5-10 minutes to eventually produce hot water.

The stay was nice and...
Liked: I liked the quietness and quick to assign a room
Disliked: The pillows was just a bit “poofy” but nothing to really complain about

Great location but you get...
Liked: It’s super close to the hotel, and downtown. Really good location
Disliked: My bed was old and uncomfortable. There was something wrong with it where it bent at an angle when you sat down on it - almost like a spring or two was broken

Clean and close to acceptable...
Liked: Property is in a relatively convenient location in mid-town with ample good restaurants within walking distance, and the property offers contract shuttle transportation to/from my work locations
Disliked: The included contract shuttle service to/from airport location is an extremely important factor for the hundreds of Anchorage airlines and airport employee who rely on hotels while we are in Anchorage for work, so we actively seek out hotels with that service, and are willing to pay a little extra for our hotel stays in order to have that service available. This hotel contracts with a shuttle van service that has an outstanding reputation among my airline working peers, but unfortunately, the extreme lazy day shift front desk staff repeatedly fail to notify or confirm that the shuttle service knows that there is an airport pickup scheduled at the hotel when the night shift desk staff took our shuttle request the night or day before, resulting in the shuttle service always being caught by surprise that they have a van pickup at a particular time the next day, and which almost always results in us being late for our work shifts due to the shuttle arriving late. Among my peers, I know that we frequently confirm with the shuttle drivers and their dispatcher that they were never notified that they had a previously scheduled pickup at the Motel 6. This is an extremely unacceptable level of laziness in the part of the desk staff, and the majority of my airline work peers plan to stop staying at the Motel 6 as soon as summer rates drop. The Fairfield Inn next door utilizes the same contract shuttle service and has not experienced the same late shuttle issues, ever since they let go the particular desk staff they previously had, who are now working at the Motel 6, where we are currently experiencing this problem. Additionally, for $220 per night, there should at least be a coffee kiosk available after 12pm.
