I think that we were at the wrong place at the wrong time when everything went wrong. We couldn't fault the manager's appreciation of the situation and we look forward to visiting again in two weeks time.

Liked: The building and location.
Disliked: Our room was freezing cold with heating inoperative. Fire alarms active intermittently throughout night; didn't get to enjoy the bathroom as there was no hot water.

Great hotel, with everything you...

Liked: Lovely building and decor.Centre of Swansea so great in terms of travel connections, shops, bars etc. Was able to get an early check in, the staff accommodated very well. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff.Lovely breakfast- shame they do not offer dinner at the hotel.
Disliked: It was very warm. It was a warm weekend in Swansea (21 degrees, not overly warm to some) but the hallways and rooms felt as if the heating was on and the AC in our room wasn’t working and was controlled by reception.

Disappointed, but the staff ,...

Liked: My daughter and I arrived on Thursday 29 August , I paid for one night, with parking and breakfast There was no parking spaces available so I had to pay £7.00 for neighbouring car park ; our room Sinbad was quite noisy , above and outside with bins and cellar barrel stocking up in the night/ morning Friday 30 August - Sunday 1 September - paid for 2 nights bed , breakfast and parking and £10 for a teddy bear for my daughter; I went to reception on Saturday - I was informed that here are no teddies left in stock (but no refund) ; Saturday night was the worst (we understood that there was a wedding party on Thursday night, so accepted the noise) but Saturday night , was particulary noisy , and after a long time trying to get to sleep , we were woken up at 12:30am, 2:45 am (with a lot of banging on the floor above our room) , at 2:38 am woke again to noise beside our room / and/or above ) We have stayed at the hotel in the past and had a lovely time (disappointing that the restaurant does not cater for lunch / evening meals) ; and for the price, it is a shame that the room Sinbad , was situated in an area that was not conducive to a quiet space , for relaxation and undisturbed rest / sleep, especially as I had my 11 year old daughter with me for her last weekend of her holidays.
Disliked: Room - noisy (Thursday - wedding party) , but Saturday night / early hours - very loud, woke us up throughout the night No bear - no refund No parking - had to pay £7.00 Thursday night (Friday night got a space) , Saturday night (payed £7.00) No catering at lunch / dinner times Breakfast a little slow , not as excellent as promoted , and for the price , the beefeater waterfront is good competition , so expect more for the price (improve on your ingredients- better quality eggs, black pudding , mushrooms - like out of a tin, sausage and bacon - ok - but bacon cold and sausage overcooked - could include Welsh and add lager bread and cockles - more authentic and in keeping with the hotels history as a maritime build) Staff very polite, doing their best , a credit to the hotel , but easy to work out that they are tired , and probably frustrated as they know what improvements can be made if only the owners / decision makers would listen

Very nice

Liked: Was a really lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Room was very fancy , Would definitely recommend here
Disliked: only downside was being on the bottom floor so was noisy being by reception and the bar.

Liked: Got moved from my room at 12.30 pm due to faulty air con motor and the room they put me in wasnmuch better as sounded like a heard of elephants going past my door Restaurant wasn't open which was a pain
Disliked: Close to were was working
