I think that we were at the wrong place at the wrong time when everything went wrong. We couldn't fault the manager's appreciation of the situation and we look forward to visiting again in two weeks time.

Liked: The building and location.
Disliked: Our room was freezing cold with heating inoperative. Fire alarms active intermittently throughout night; didn't get to enjoy the bathroom as there was no hot water.

Liked: The historic building itself. The indoor features that have been preserved all these years are beautiful. Room names are a nice touch and the rooms are massive!
Disliked: Nothing really but some nice to haves:Wish there was room service or a bar food menu for late hours . Coat hooksTowel hooks in the bathroom

Mixed feelings

Liked: Big room and bathroom, very clean, with WHITE towels, working coffee machine in the room, parking available as advertised and a girl came out from the hotel to show it to us
Disliked: The air-condition not working; not in the main building; very STRANGE shower arrangement, completely NOT practical

Very enjoyable and sophisticated.

Liked: Very beautiful, had plenty of character. I really liked that it came with coffee pods and biscuits too + a make-up flannel.
Disliked: The room had no main light, only lamps. This did make good atmospheric lighting but when I was doing my make-up it was incredibly difficult to see. I also felt that the prince was rather high in comparison to what we actually got in return. I feel I could’ve had a similar experience somewhere cheaper.

Liked: This is a historic building hotel. So expect "character" etc etc. Check in was prompt and staff was friendly to help with our luggages
Disliked: Our room was in the next building, so it was a bit of a hassle with the staircase and crossing the road with heavy luggage. The room faces the car park, and the blinds are not totally blacked out. Breakfast was terrible. Brits (Welsh) tend to overcook everything. Bacon, eggs etc. But staff are freindly
