Good location on the St....

Liked: Fairly convenient to Lytham village. Decent full English breakfast, and breakfast staff were friendly and attentive.
Disliked: Decor seemed a bit tired. Hotel was clean , but bathroom a bit cramped. No staff on reception when trying to check-in. Over-priced for the standards on offer.

Fine for one night as...

Liked: Location was great for my purpose - near to the shop I came to visit. For a single night the accommodation was adequate. Staff were overall very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Wi-Fi strong.
Disliked: I was travelling alone so had a single room. My comments may therefore not apply to multiple occupancy rooms. The room was very small. A shower/toilet room had been built within the room, right over the main window. So the room was dark and cramped, especially as it also had to accommodate a set of free-standing drawers. There was just one small chair that wasn’t very comfortable. For one night I had no complaints, but I wouldn’t have liked to stay for longer. Overall, the hotel is in a state of decaying gentility. It needs some paint, internal modernisation, and the pictures on the walls dusting and straightening. Perhaps a reflection of what is happening to many Northern coastal towns now well past their heyday?
