Liked: Breakfast was equal to Days Inn but not as good as Super 8.

Passable

Liked: good location and dogs welcome. The room was recently remodeled and the bed was new.
Disliked: The room didn't have a single chair or table although there was plenty of room for both. It did not have a room number on it and the room key didn't work.

Avoid this place

Disliked: Everything was filthy, especially the bedding and the bathroom floor. There were hairs from previous guests everywhere. We only managed because we had our own sleeping bags. The tap water was cold, and although the staff promised to inform us if warm water became available, they never followed up. All of this for a price that wasn’t exactly low. Avoid this place!

Choose somewhere else

Disliked: Very strange experience. Felt very seedy. Nobody at desk for a long time and finally after at least 15 minutes of ringing the bell and calling the phone a teenager came out from the door right behind the desk and told us her mom had gone out somewhere but thought we had been booked at a different hotel as they had rented out the whole place to a group of workers. We did end up getting a room at the Hacienda instead, which was great, but there was no communication to us and very little to the Hacienda which was confusing for all. We ended up being very grateful not to be staying at Modoc so it all worked out but I can't recommend booking here.
