Liked: Both management and housekeeping were very responsive for any needs that came up. This is an older, gracious hotel that is well-maintained.

Liked: The staff are very helpful, they helped me on all the problems I faced in my room. Also the location is near Union Square, Chinatown, lots of great restaurants and grocery stores.
Disliked: Wifi is not very stable for working remotely. It's quite difficult to use the elevator with some luggages since the door is heavy.

Liked: The location was good. Half hour walk to Fisherman's wharf. 15 minutes to the Bart.
Disliked: Smelly hallways. They are trying to mask it with air fresheners which are awful. The hotel needs new carpets and a good cleaning of hallways. The front entrance and lobby are depressing and shabby.When in bed you could see all the dirt and garbage under the microwave and stand and beside the bed. The bathroom was clean.

Liked: Location was not bad, good wi-fi, comfy bed.
Disliked: Specific incense smell in lobby and corridors (but not in the room). Narrow corridors and stairs. Old fashioned radiator with no regulation (was either max or off). Poor space arrangement: no night lamp, night stand or power outlet near bed. Loud fridge. Hairs in bath tub and on the floor. No air vent in bathroom, just a small terrible window - I had to climb on bath tub to open it, was jamming. A ceiling lamp was combined with a fan, and when I set fan to slow rotation the light was dimmed, and when set to fast rotation the light was completely off - bad electric circuit. USB ports at the table were buzzing when a device plugged in. Ugly sink and bath tub caulk. I wouldn't recommend staying at this property.

Liked: It’s a pretty great experience. The facilities are a bit aged but all good, another thing I’m satisfied with is the high quality of staff service. Last but not least, the location was in the proximity to the downtown area; therefore, you can simply just walk anywhere.
