Liked: Staying at the 5th floor - furthest down the hall, I had great concerns in case if fire. Only one way down, the staircase. As smoke travels upwards this made me feel very unsafe. The radiator in our room was broken, pumping heat all day. This made the sleeping environment poor. The drain in the sink was broken. Had to pull out the plug to drain the water. The door was in bad condition and the window could not be properly closed.Tiny ants in the bathroom and small flies by the drain in the tub. The staff at the reception was polite and nice. The other staff seemed tired and unhappy. No smiles.On the positive side, the hotel was clean. Clean sheets and towels every day. Good new mattresses. Decent breakfast(even though I missed more greens). Good coffee and freshly pressed orange juice. Walking distance to bus, tube, bakery and groceries.

False advertising

Liked: The hotel is advertised on booking.com as the room having air conditioning.. however on getting to the hotel there was a notice saying they do not operate AC until the end of March. We were here on a relatively warm March weekend and the room was uncomfortable because it got pretty warm in the evening. They should not falsely advertise the property stating they offer things which they don't. Also the breakfast was very basic.
