A brief stopover.

Liked: Basic but good value. Very clean, friendly well situated. 15 min walk to beach. Has a nice communal roof terrace which I imagine would be well used in the summer months.
Disliked: Road was quite busy from 6am.

Liked: I never like to leave bad reviews to places with such lovely staff. Because they are not at fault.
Disliked: But I would never recommend this hotel. The first night I didn’t sleep because a smell of faeces started coming from the pipes and became unbearable. The staff told me the next morning that I needed to run water down the drains for a while to remove the smell, so every night that I stayed I would wake up in the middle of the night to the vomit inducing stench of faeces that I would have to sort out myself. Even then, sometimes the smell wouldn’t fully go away for many hours.The sheets are not clean at all. Some have holes, blood stains and bogies baked into the sheets. I think these should be thrown out. Not washed and used again.The blinds were filthy and broken, which fortunately was fixed when I complained about it.I asked for an iron and ironing board. The ironing board was dirty and oily and the iron didn't work it just leaked large amounts of slightly brown water onto my shirt. Ruining the shirt.My room came with a fridge, but what I didn’t realise was that the fridge wasn’t turned on properly, so all the food I bought expired had to be thrown out. I turned it on myself and went out to buy more food. When I returned, I realised the fridge was clearly very old and had become so loud that I would never have been able to sleep with it on (not for lack of trying), so I had to turn it off and throw out more food once again. A huge waste of food and money and meant I had to eat out for basically every meal.I was told that if I come back to the hotel past 11:00pm, I needed to lock the door when I come in order to keep the hotel secure. Fast forward to me checking out of the hotel at 6am, I leave my key at reception, no one is there, the front door is unlocked, and cannot be locked from the outside without the key that you need to leave at reception. Meaning that anytime someone leaves the hotel for an early flight, they have no choice but to leave the door unlocked, leaving the hotel unsecured and leaving remaining guests vulnerable.
