Pleasant
Liked: Location great, and quiet for being right at the train station
Disliked: No outlets near the bed. Only two outlets, both hidden behind a TV and hard to access.Cold was very cold and took a while to warm up due to super high ceilings. The hotel looks a bit dated at places.

Disappointing, lacking in any empathy.
Liked: Good location next to the train station.Breakfast was good.Bed was confortable.
Disliked: Arrived early at 2.30pm for 3.00pm check in and told that the room was not ready which was fair enough. Went away and came back around 3.30pm and we were informed the room was still not ready, was informed by the receptionist that she had been "caught up in other things", we eventually got into our room at 4.00pm, we had a restaurant booked for 4.00pm which i had to phone and move the time to 4.30pm. We were not informed of any of the facilities in the hotel and we did not feel valued in any way. It was not as if the hotel was busy and they would have been more accurate saying that the check in was 4.00pm. We detected no warmth from any of the staff in the hotel. There are plenty of hotels in Glasgow therefore why stay in one where you may get into your room at 3.15pm or 3.30pm or even 4.00pm which makes booking anywhere else such as a restaurant rather difficullt.

Has some good features, but...
Liked: The bed was comfortable, the free wi-fi was easy to access. The staff were helpful, especially the man greeting everyone at breakfast, who was also very friendly and welcoming. The room was quite large, although the desk chair was completely in the way. The bathroom was surprisingly big.The lobby and ground floor make a very good impression. (Shame the same amount of work hasn't gone into the upstairs.)The hotel is right next to Queen Street Station, which is very convenient (as long as you don't mind hearing the early morning train announcements, but if you choose a hotel next to the station, you can't complain about that).
Disliked: There was something nasty and brown caked onto the inside of the bath. I wasn't getting close enough to find out what it was, but obviously it hadn't been cleaned. There was a very large crack in the bedroom ceiling. As well as the ceiling light (which was bright and could be operated from the bed), there were lamps either side of the bed, but I couldn't find any way of turning them on.I may have missed it in the booking information, but I was surprised a hotel of this size didn't serve dinner. Luckily, there are several restaurants nearby. The cooked breakfast I had (vegetarian sausages, scrambled egg, mushrooms) was completely unseasoned and tasteless. It was cooked fresh, though. The lifts are so cramped they actually have notices asking for people to use them one at a time!
