Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Melissa, Hope, visiting Palladium Times Square Wed, 11 May 2022

For the price I paid, it would have been nice to have a clean bathtub, or even empty trash cans instead of the previous person's trash. The electrical outlets did not even have face plates. The carpet throughout the room was dirty and frayed. No refrigerator; no microwave; no coffee or any food choices within the hotel. Walking into the lobby I was impressed and felt bamboozled after riding 20 floors in the rickety death trap of an elevator and then walking into what looked like a 'pay by the hour' cheap motel. The employees were not courteous nor knowledgeable. The additional $50 I had to pay for parking considering upon booking I was told there was free valet parking made it a completely disappointing experience. The final question I asked before leaving was 'when will the $100 deposit be returned to my credit card?' The response was ' I couldn't tell ya, but probably within the next couple weeks.' To sum it up any other hotel in the area has to be better than this place.

Liked: Location was close to everything.
Disliked: Dirty; no amenities; rude employees.

Pleasant - 3.0 out of 5

Dixie, St Louis, visiting Sony Hall Wed, 5 December 2018

Liked: The location is very good.
Disliked: The lobby promises a level of quality that my room, at least, did not deliver. Average at best; somewhat run-down and overly basic at worst.

Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Lori, Cary, NC, visiting Richard Rodgers Theatre Fri, 1 April 2016

The staff, from the front desk, to the doorman, were all wonderful - friendly, helpful, pleasant, and polite. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was clean and comfortable. A nice place to stay.

Liked: Great location and friendly, helpful staff.
Disliked: No refrigerator, microwave or coffee maker in the room.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

For booking a luxury room...

Liked: Location
Disliked: For a luxury room with a city view, I was very disappointed. I had to plug lights in to use them. There was no mini fridge. There was hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor, and there was hair stuck in the linens. I could not adjust the heat in the room so it was like a heat wave in there at all times with the thermostat at 65.

Disappointing. I don’t recommend.

Liked: It was advertised as breakfast included and to my surprise there was no breakfast when I arrived and I was told that there is no such service at the hotel. Although I thought I was paying for a full service.
Disliked: The staff at the reception were extremely rude and even refused to put a bottle of water in the room. Which I believe is a disgrace considering the price we pay for a 4star hotel. The room didn’t have hot water so couldn’t even shower. And the shower was broken as well.

Liked: Staff are polite and helpful. Great water pressure. Comfortable beds. Great location.
Disliked: Peeling paint, bathroom had pee stains from previous, worn carpet, hotel is old and that's fine. Rooms can be cleaner.

Great Location and Staff

Liked: The property was in a very central location, so we could easily get to everywhere we wanted to see. The room was large enough for us to have our bags open and still be able to move around. There was some street noise, but nothing too major. We still slept with the window open on a couple nights. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we interacted with them. We appreciated the daily bottles of water that were left in our room when they were tidied.

It was our first trip...

Liked: There was a front desk employee, I believe her name was Chanelle. She was working when we arrived on December 19th around 7pm. She was AMAZING. So patient since my card was giving me trouble being out of state, helpful with directions, kind and accommodating to my daughter who had an issue a she immediately helped correct. She was the first person we encountered in New York and she helped set the stage for an amazing trip!!
Disliked: We had no complaints
