AVOID Milestone Motel at all...

Disliked: The couple who own/run this motel should not be in customer service. The wife was incredibly rude. I booked 2 nights to attend a graduation in Meaford. The property was run down but I had picked a mom and pop place and wasn’t expecting much. It was just a place to sleep. Myself and 2 kids checked in Thursday night and were told to park in front of our room. Due to snow squalls we carpooled with family Friday to Meaford and left my car in the parking lot where we were told to park. Myself and 2 kids walked past the owner and he said nothing to us. While at the graduation 45 mins away the female owner called and told me I needed to move my vehicle so the snow plow could come. I politely explained it was not possible as I was at a graduation ceremony and was 45 mins away. She insisted I move my car immediately, I would only need to move it for 5 minutes she said. I told her had she or her husband at any point mentioned this before I would have gladly moved my car. The phone call continued with her yelling at me and scolding me for not telling her my itinerary. It ended with hersaying she is not responsible for damage to my car if the plow hit it. Not wanting my car damaged I left the graduation. The graduation was for my son! 5 other other people also had to leave due to her demand I move my car and threat it would be damaged. When I arrived I told her I did not feel comfortable staying there and would like her to refund my second night stay. She said I did not check out by 11 and said too bad. She called me at 10:52 and told me to move my car. I was there shortly after 11:30. She said she had been calling me since 8:00 ( I did not leave till 8:30) also my phone was on me at all times and no call came in. Never in my life have I been so shocked. I had to pack all my belongings and find and book another hotel. An expense I did not expect to have.
