Miette Mountain Cabins, Jasper

overall excellent and we will...

Liked: the big cabins are great. comfy beds and dogs allowed. fireplace is nice and great to have a pull out bed too.the games room is great and the hot drinks and cookies are a super nice touch
Disliked: the kitchens are missing a lot of things needed to cook meals. we didn’t have oven mitts, dish towels or enough dish soap for the dishwasher.the hot tub was out of order. this was a major thing we were looking forward to so we were very disappointed. the games room games need maintenance.

Very good

Liked: I enjoyed being upgraded from the lodge to a cabin , All the staff were friendly. The tea/ coffee / cookie bar was a nice touch. Comfortable sitting area and games room .

Great stay

Liked: Really good facilities. Lovely games room with complimentary coffee/tea. Two fire pits, hot tub. Kind staff. Room was comfortable and had a fridge and basic cooking tools. Surprisingly fancy shampoo/soap in the bathroom! A very nice stay overall and good value, highly recommended!
Disliked: A bit far from town; ~30 minute drive.No on-site restaurant. Area beyond the cabins is completely unlit (good for stargazing but quite scary for driving and walking!)

Disappointing

Liked: Unfortunately, the cabin had no heat and the heaters that were provided tripped the breaker so they could not be used. We certainly appreciated the rebate on the room charge, but we were quite inconvenienced. Something as basic as heat should be checked before the room is occupied. Again, the management staff were nice to offer alternatives and a rebate. The amenities the property offered were impressive although we didn't have time to enjoy any of them. Not sure resort fees should apply to what are basic hotel facilities in my view (common rooms, complimentary coffee, swimming pool). These should be sunk in the nightly rate for easier consumer comparison....
Disliked: Heating not working at all.
