Great staff great hotel and...

Liked: The staff was great and nothing’s was too much and this really helps us have a great stay.Clearly the staff like working there at the hotel.The house:hotel is very old but very nice and the room we had was very large and lot of nice touches like biscuits and toiletries and water and lots more.Also the room service was fantastic the cod and chips was amazing and all the food was fantastic.

Relaxing stay, close to York

Liked: The hotel was great overall, but in particular, the staff couldn't be more helpful. They actively looked for ways to help us.

Disliked: We found that the shower facilities were difficult for people over 80 ( over the bath) a walk in shower would be more suitable

Pleasant

Liked: Location, perfect for visiting family on my birthday weekend. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Quiet location.
Disliked: Room looked nice if a little dated but the bed was too short (I’m 5’9”). Also, no duvet, just one blanket in a duvet cover. Breakfast was overpriced at £25 each, the quality and quantity didn’t match the price.

Liked: staff were attentive and helpful .Room was large and had a huge and very comfortable bed. everything was spotlessly clean. Location was quiet and in beautiful surroundings but within a few minutes of an excellent Park and Ride facility which only took 10 minutes to get into the centre of YORK
Disliked: No negative comments but we thought the food prices were quite expensive although the quality was very good. We had generous breakfasts and had light meals and snacks which were served in the lounge. 2 course dinner was about £60 which we didn't take
