Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham, Opelika

Elevator didn't work. 3rd floor hallway smelt like crap. Our floor had something sticky on it. One of our rags looked like it has s**t on it and when we went to breakfast everything was out.

Liked: The lady who checked us out.
Disliked: Everything.

Liked: The hotel was very nice as was the employees. Was not able to try breakfast, but choices looked very good. The price was comparable to other hotels in area. Enjoyed the microwave and fridge.
Disliked: The issue was the clientele that was there. The hotel was full because of potential severe weather. Children were allowed to run the halls and stairwells until 1 in the morning. There was drama that the front desk was handling very well. I felt as if someone should have addressed the children since the parents were not inclined . The side door would not work with key card so I had to go around . There really needs to have a bar in the shower. My husband has Alzheimers and had a hard time getting in and out of shower.

Liked: When I booked room it said pay when you get there. They called that morning trying to make payment. My room was canceled
Disliked: The hotel and the workers there.

Liked: Our room was comfortable, we had a desk surface to work at, plenty of space to store refrigerator foods and the staff was so friendly and helpful, they even stored my blue ice for me in their freezer overnight. The coffee and decaffeinated coffee were good too!
Disliked: The hotel is located within a shopping complex so it's not an ideal location, but it was convenient to the main road out of town so it wasn't much of an issue for us.

Liked: My stay at Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham in Opelika was absolutely wonderful! The entire facility was clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable—I slept like a dream. A huge plus was being able to crack the window in the room for fresh air, which made the stay even more enjoyable.The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Breakfast had a good variety, including eggs, sausage, instant oatmeal, dry cereal, waffles, bread, bagels, coffee, juice, and teas with all the necessary condiments. Also, I have to mention the amazing water pressure—it was astonishing!Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
Disliked: The only downside to my stay was the early housekeeping knocks. Despite requesting a late check-out for 11 AM instead of the standard 10 AM, housekeeping first knocked around 8:30–9 AM, announcing “housekeeping” with little wait time between knocks. When I finally answered, she was polite, and I informed her of my late check-out. However, she returned at 10:58 AM while we were gathering our belongings, and we departed the room at exactly 10:59 AM.
