Liked: Rooms were clean, fairly new. Main lobby was also very clean and modern.
Disliked: The breakfast was lacking - basically toast and bagels and cereal. Also, the bathroom was really small.

For the price I paid...

Liked: Close to the highway and easy access to my events.
Disliked: Stains on the carpeting in hallways, leaking shower and sink faucets, parking lot and driveway paving full of cracks and potholes. Breakfast was very basic with no hot foods like eggs or meat? Only waffles and cold food.

Liked: The Microtel will never be confused with an upscale property, but it's clean, comfortable and safe. The staff was very nice and the location is convenient.
Disliked: Dripping bathroom sink faucet was a minor annoyance and someone stomping around in the room/area above me was more annoying. The breakfast was very basic and not the freshest, but OK. The only thing I really disliked was the price gouging for ISU home football weekends, but of course everyone intown does it, and Microtel was the cheapest.
