Nice location. Overcharged around £120....

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Charged for the city tax by both booking.com and the hotel, so paid twice. The shortfall meant I am owed in the region of £120 / €140. Both booking.com and the hotel simply blame eachother. Booking.com want to issue me around €10 of credit as if that would resolve the matter, which is frankly insulting.

Great location, comfortable and clean...

Liked: The location was close to La Rambla, restaurants and public transportation. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the AC worked well. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had the breakfast once and it had a lot of options and was fresh. We appreciated the water dispenser on our floor.
Disliked: It would be nicer if there was a dresser or luggage rack as we had to lay our suitcases open on the floor. The wardrobe was for hanging clothes.The bathroom could use more counter space or storage to place toiletries.

Liked: We like the charm of the hotel. The people who work there are so helpful, efficient and kind. The breakfast is good and the breakfast room lovely. The location is perfect and our stay was very comfortable.

Good

Liked: Buffet breakfast was very nice, with good coffee. Location was great.
Disliked: Room 122 has a lobby outside it and there was a lot of traffic, as other guests bid themselves good-night, over several hours. Use ear-plugs if you get this room, or one close to it.

Think well: Rude staff, dated...

Liked: Location.
Disliked: About the staff: We had this bad experience with rude front desk staff because there was a misunderstanding between booking an the hotel about the number of guests due my daugther’s age. We were treated in a rude way because of this. It was easy to solve but we found that this disappointing attitude towards us as guests, sadly gave us a bad taste of Barcelona at our arrival. About the hotel itself: Very small rooms. Dated furniture beds and pillows. (Don’t thrust their pictures).
