Excellent guest house in lovely...

Liked: Lovely, quirky, homely guesthouse in an interesting building. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast included with home made bread and a very nice omelette. Our suite had a nice little gas fire and the residents lounge a real log fire. The cookie jar was full and coffee and drinks available in in kitchen and rooms. Great stay in lovely Port Fairy. Don’t forget to do the walk round Griffiths Island, which is nearby. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Liked: Lovely breakfast
Disliked: Concerned that the linked smoke detector in our room seemed to be disconnected. Very steep stairs up to the attic room where we were staying

A world class charming old...

Liked: Wonderful staff, fantastic food and cozy old world inn atmosphere. We absolutely loved our stay at the Merrijig Inn. We felt welcome from the moment we were greeted by the very special Leeroy, who along with the other friendly staff reminded us how precious true hospitality is. The Merrijig Inn reminded us of our best travel experiences staying in charming pubs in the Cotwolds, but the great food and charm of the staff at the Merrijig made it even more memorable. Yes the attic bedrooms are small and the stairs are steep, but who gives a rat’s when the whole experience is so enjoyable.
