Good stay, I will consider...
Liked: The room was comfortable and clean. WIFI good. The grounds are also very nice.
Disliked: Location: it was extremely difficult to find the entrance in the dark as the sign on the main country road was NOT legible and once I entered the gates, there was NO sign reassuring me I was on the right track. I was alone driving so it was quite distressing as it was quite late in the evening. Your reception staff was very helpful. A simple sign after the entry with a well lit sign and indication to keep driving, would have suffice.

Very good
Liked: It was very quiet and peaceful
Disliked: Old part of the hotel was very tired and our room wasn't particularly clean. Very disappointed not to be able to open any windows or the door on to the balcony.

Very poor
Liked: The point if the trip was to recuperate and continue on the next day to see my brother in hospital. So the, ocatiin was perfect
Disliked: We were placed in a room DIRECTLY over a social event. On arriving I saw vans and many couples with children. I specifically asked..please..we are not over a wedding are we. NO, we were assured..its a Christening. The christening PARTY involved a brass band which was probably 6 feet under our room...this went on till 7.30. Then it stopped. I ran a bath and then the singer on a microphone with speakers commenced. I went down and asked how long this event is on for and was told it was till LATE...probably about 11PM. We went to reception and the asst manger changed us to room 516..which although is in the system..actually didnt exist...then we were switched to room 530. This involved going in and out of buildings ...backwards and forwards to reception ( in heavy rain and lightening). We finally got to the door of room 530 with everything and the key didn't work. So there I was sitting on the floor on the corridor, exhausted and with a pounding headache, watching our belongings while my husband made ANOTHER trip to reception. It did not serve the function of beings a place of rest and respite for the next day. In addition we had then missed the evening deadline to have a swim and sauna.

Perfect weekend
Liked: I went with my children to swim at the weekend. It is a really quiet and calm hotel. It is very nice to relax. The pool and changing rooms are very clean. The breakfast is excellent. We also had dinner, the portions were small but delicious. The rooms are very big and clean.
Disliked: Some guests were smoking in the rooms so the fire alarm went off and I had to take the kids out at night. It happened again in the morning. It's not the hotel's fault, I'm just saying it's bad luck.

We were in the area...
Liked: Every thing and everyone was very welcoming and relaxing
Disliked: It’s a shame that the windows need replacing. I’m sure it would be a huge investment to do so. But it was cosy and it must cost a fortune to heat with all that heat escaping through the windows
