We had a 2 night stay - my husband booked the Friday night and I the Saturday night. The receptionist said it would be OK to keep the same room for both nights - however, when returning to our room on Saturday afternoon the key wouldn't work, so we had to get it sorted out with reception. Seems there is no communication between staff. Apart from that, a very enjoyable stay.

The friendly staff make this...

Liked: The staff are just lovely. They all seemed friendly in a natural way and gave the impression they were happy, which made us, as guests, happy. We ate in the hotel one night and there was a little confusion over which menu we were ordering from, as we werent sitting in the main restaurant, but we ordered from the Bar/Brasserie menu. The food really exceeded our expectations. We werent expecting much, but everything was really fresh and tasty and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are basic but comfortable and we had a nice view out to mature trees from our room. We also appreciated the drinks vouchers we got when we chose not to get our room made up.
Disliked: The hotel was cold. The rooms, the halls, the bar.... all cold! The bar closed in the evening bang on time, but with no warning for us to get a drink. The main entrance by the road could do with some lighting if you are walking in the dark as its quite hard to see where you are stepping.

Liked: Room was comfortable and clean. Loved the little gift from housekeeping with the hand written note.
Disliked: Staff on arrival wasn’t too helpful. Food was okay. Restaurant staff were a bit hot and cold.
