The 4-star Mercure Telford Center Hotel is perfectly located for business and leisure guests. Located in the heart of Shropshire at the foot of the Wrekin leading into the Shropshire Hills (ANOB) it's the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside. The Hotel offers parking with additional fees minimum £10 and free Wi-Fi. Brilliant staff, very very welcoming. Plenty of parking. Close to loads of shops and movie theatres. Excellent location to the Ironbridge Gorge, 5 miles away.

Liked: Only comments are the room was a bit cold shower was hot then just ran cold. But everything else was good

Liked: Staff often not often at reception and when they are they are more interested in talking to each other than helping guests. Very annoying to be stung for a parking charge that was hidden in the small print. Windows single glazed, so noisy and loads of condensation on them.

Lovely and relaxing stay

Liked: The hotel is neat and clean, well furnished and creates a nice atmosphere for guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even with an EU socket and an above average TV, the bathroom was neat and clean as well, the shower is definitely a big plus! The food was good, as well, the indoor pool and spa area with a jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna was inviting. The location is great, few minutes walk to the train and bus station, and to all kinds of shops, as well.
Disliked: The wall's soundproofing could be a little better for a hotel of this category, but it seems that improvements are done at the moment. The spa times in the evening could be extended by one hour, according to my taste, rather a suggestion than a complaint
