Mercure Bankstown
Liked: The beds were comfortable, the shower was excellent, the kitchenette facilities were very good and being on the 9th floor the view was stunning. The hotel is 5 mins walk from Bankstown metro station which means you can access central Sydney.
Disliked: The over-zealous nature of the staff from Bankstown Sports Club where the hotel is located.

Lovely hotel with very helpful...
Liked: Staff were lovely. Room was clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay.
Disliked: The railway station in Bankstown was closed down in September for 12 months, which made transport to and from the event we were attending, a little frustrating. Transport was included in our concert tickets and we ended up paying over $150 for a 10 km each way journey in taxi fares, and waiting almost three hours to get back at the end of the night despite ordering the return taxi on the taxi company’s app. I know that wasn’t the Mercure’s fault, but given the constant requests from the NSW Government for visitors to utilise public transport, it would have been handy to have had that information on the Mercure website prior to going to Sydney.
