Will come back!
Liked: The setting and building with old features retained. Close to Shrewsbury.
Disliked: Jacuzzi not working. Some staff could benefit from further training in attention to detail and be more alert to guests needs. Some areas could do with a general lick of paint/varnish and carpet cleaning in bedrooms and chair fabric cleaning in dining room.

A good value for money...
Liked: A beautiful property, in a lively setting
Disliked: We had to go outside to access the bar and reception. The jacuzzi wasn’t working. The bed was too small to be able to reach the side lights.

Would recommend., great if travelling...
Liked: Excellent grounds incredibly dog ftiendly. Woodland area and poopbin . Fantastic spa facilities and aromathrrapy steam room was amazing. Staff were fantastic exvellent customer service nothing too much trouble. Will definitely visit again.Awesome breakfast and bar meals even just before closing time. Dogs allowed in bar. Dog menu and fresh water bowls offered.
Disliked: We stayed in Schoolmasters House as we had two small dogs with us. The room was fine but an additional light on the pathway to the entrance would have been useful as it was so dark we coudnt read the sign at the top of the path that said school msster house without getting our phone torch out. Security light came on by door and we felt very safe staying at this hotel. Wardrobe only had one sliding door so didnt close but decor ok for a dog ftiendly room. Have come to expect dog friendly rooms to be less superior at most hotels i stay at than when you visit without a dog. Shame really as is a big business opportunity but i do realise that not all dogs are clean, odour free and well behaved . The room was fine and easy access to gardens for early morning/late night garden access for dogs without walking through main hotel in pjsExcellent location for access to Midlands dog shows.
