Liked: Loved the fitness suite and pool, great having steam and sauna rooms as well, the rooms were fantastic
Disliked: There was a wedding on, we were going to eat at the bar area but this area was full of the wedding guests as was during the swapping of function room to the night do. So no room at the bar and all seating area was taken up, meant we had to leave the hotel to go get food

Not great for lunch

Liked: Was all fine, the gym is a bit ancient but that's what you expect for something like this.
Disliked: We ordered lunch on the first day, waited an hour. What came had obviously been under the lights for a while (turned up bread, warm salad) but was cold. Cold steak sandwich is not nice, the soup of the day for that price was tiny. Was so hungry by that point ate it anyway. Very very poor

Good dog-friendly hotel in fabulous...

Liked: The room was huge and perfect for us with the dog. Everything was clean, a little tired but everything worked. The kids used the pool and sauna which they loved, and breakfast was a good traditional buffet. Most importantly the staff were all brilliant, so friendly and helpful. And the grounds are amazing, a perfect city hotel with extensive grounds and a lake for walking the dog etc.
Disliked: We didn't try the restaurant as it looked very brightly lit. It's a great hotel for staying with dogs and family, lots of big family groups, nothing particularly special but clean and friendly and great location
