Brilliant location; really nice hotel; friendly staff on reception and accommodating night porter who willingly served myself and my partner drinks on coming back to the hotel late.

Disliked: Only one gripe, the lampshade in our room was particularly dirty and should be removed. Looks OK when lamp off, though when on, fillthy.

Dog friendly hotel in centre...

Liked: Extremely dog friendly! Chocolates and satsumas on reception. Great location with respect to cathedral and market square
Disliked: Arguably a bit tired, but with a dog that makes you less concerned

Liked: Comfy bed, excellent shower, perfect location.
Disliked: Bathroom was a bit poky, puzzled by the weird dining table on its own in reception!
