Wouldn't return. Not good value for money.

Disliked: Over priced drinks. Cold rooms and very basic. Decor in rooms.

Breakfast needs to improve

Liked: Well we arrived for breakfast at 9:30 (breakfast finished at 10:30). No glasses for juice. No fresh orange. We did ask but never arrived. No bread for toast had to ask for it & then it arrived warm as says she had defrosted it too much. Then we had to ask for butter to be told none left. Asked for a poached egg as the menu said to do for the girl to stare & say oh I need to ask …. & went to get breakfast at & no plates. Sorry I wouldn’t pay £17 for that breakfast it was so poor. I would like a reply.

It was ok for what...

Liked: Excellent location for everything. Staff are so friendly and helpful and really make your stay effortlessly pleasant. The main reception and bar area is fine, nicely decorated for the theme that runs through the hotel. Bar area clean and tidy.
Disliked: Like every other review I’ve read the hotel is extremely tired and dated. Threadbare carpets, poor fixtures and fittings really let the place down. Whoever owns it could be doing with upgrading the bedrooms some at a time and really give this hotel the justice it deserves due to its excellent location and history behind it.
