Wouldn't return. Not good value for money.

Liked: It was clean and friendly.
Disliked: Over priced drinks. Cold rooms and very basic. Decor in rooms.

Needs a lot of renovation.

Liked: They let us park the car early. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The bathroom was old, water leaking from the toilet, tile paint peeling off the tiles around the bath, constant wet mouldy smell in the bathroom which must have been about 50 years old looking at the benchtop. No lift, and everything, including the restaurant was up lots of stairs.

Great staff, good location.

Liked: The staff were absolutely lovely. Friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble from check in to check out. Full praise for all of them. The location was very good and I liked the way they highlighted the mill race and water wheel. At breakfast there was a good range of both hot and cold.
Disliked: The room was clean enough but was very tired. The bed was not that comfortable but just OK. The only chair was a dining chair, which was not the most comfortable, leaving only the bed to sit on. The bathroom also needs to be updated to include a decent shower. Somewhere to put a suitcase would be a welcome addition. As a privilege room I expected a little more.

More good points than bad

Liked: Bad points - It is a bit dated. Being so close to the road means it's very noisy.Good points - the staff are lovely and very helpful; the beds are extremely comfortable; it's a central location so it's easy to get to shops; plenty of choice for breakfast
