Slept well, food nice but...
Liked: Comfortable bed. Restaurant food was good. Staff in the restaurant were very nice.
Disliked: Signage from within CDG airport was very bad, and then when I asked Airport information staff for help they sent me to the wrong Mercure despite showing them my booking ( there are two Mercure hotels with identical names and signs) Why on earth Mercure couldn’t have different names and a slightly different sign I do not know; they have never taken the time to consider things from a customer point of view. When I finally managed to find the right Mercure then train journey to the hotel is ok but there is a fair walk the other side - not easy with heavy bags. When I arrived a taff then couldn’t initially find my reservation and then told me I didn’t have half board. When they finally found my correct reservation they did apologise and gave me a voucher for my evening meal. Unfortunately half board is not half board - it’s a voucher that gets you a main course only - a bit of false advertising really. Would I come back - only if there was nothing else available or the price was a lot lot cheaper than I paid this time round.

Lame and expensive
Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Room was:A. Not tidy. It felt gross to walk around with bare feet. B. Worn OUT. But how? Here’s how:1. Sloppy spackle job to repair damaged walls (if there was any attempt to sand/smooth the spackle, it was minimal at best).2. Shower head and sink faucet were in desperate need of repair/replacement. 3. Toilet was weak and old with NO bidet (this is not a public bathroom. So, no bidet on this toilet in France, the birthplace of the bidet? Come on!). C. EXPENSIVE - considering all of the above, this room was way too expensive. I’ve stayed in nicer hotel rooms that cost far less in the U.S. and far, far less in more beautiful city (read Jeddah, KSA)
