Stylish, and peaceful stay. Breakfast...

Liked: Peaceful location with beautiful grounds and surrounds. Staff were very friendly, would return here for our next visit to Oxford.
Disliked: Not sure paying extra for a premium room is worth it just for a dressing gown and slippers.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent apart from the toaster. So slow and you had to put the bread in 3 times

A pretty location, but few...

Liked: The decor is fun - it is based on the Oxford collar and brogues, which I felt was original.The staff were friendly, especially Malcolm and Liam. I enjoyed the risotto. It’s a shame the portions size was so small.
Disliked: The strange pillows - one was hard and thin (it felt old) and the other large and newer. No body cream or conditioner in the bathroom - travelers can’t bring more than 100ml on planes.The portion sizes for the cost were disappointing. No bread with service. We received better value for the same price at The Crown in Oxford, an upmarket pub. The breakfast was overpriced. Again, it was easy to find better value in the city at the Covered Market.The hotel is not that close to the centre. As tourists on foot, perhaps I didn’t choose that well. No shuttles into the city. We had to catch buses or Ubers.

Liked: The bath was a little slippery while showering. Bed was a little too soft for us.
