Lovely hotel, staff food and...

Liked: Exceptional staff from the girl at the front desk to the Leisure facilities and the restaurant genuinely lovely staff who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.Swimming and spa facilities were exceptionally good.
Disliked: The beds. All 3 of us had a terrible restless night. Could feel the hard wire frame of the mattress through what feels like a cheap mattress topper. I myself will need to go an osteopath to get straightened out as I feel rib back and neck pain.

Liked: Comfy bed, good choice for breakfast
Disliked: Cleanliness, I am allergic to dust and really struggled in the room. It was dated and needed a deep clean and refresh. During breakfast I wanted something off the menu, waited and waited when it came it was wrong, the waitress was keen to take the £5 extra before they corrected my order, which was flat cold :( Dinner in the restaurant was also really disappointing.

Liked: A Terrible Experience at Washington George Mercure Hotel – Do Not Book!Our stay at the Washington George Mercure Hotel was a complete disaster, and we would strongly advise others to avoid it. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing like what was advertised.First and foremost, the room was nothing like the photos on Booking.com. The décor was extremely outdated, and the entire space felt neglected. The bed was not a proper double but two singles pushed together, making it uncomfortable and impractical.The TV was ancient, and to make matters worse, it didn’t even work—no signal whatsoever. I even have a photo to prove it. It’s unacceptable for a hotel to advertise amenities that are completely non-functional.Customer service was equally poor. Calling reception from our room was a frustrating experience; no one answered until after several attempts. For a hotel that claims to be of a certain standard, this level of service is simply unacceptable.This was meant to be our anniversary celebration, but instead, our trip was ruined. The lack of comfort, false advertising, and poor service left us extremely disappointed. We will never book here again and strongly urge others to avoid this hotel. Do not be deceived by the misleading photos—what you see online is NOT what you get in reality.
