Nice staff. Amenities need updating...
Liked: Comfortable bed. Nice staff.
Disliked: lifts to my level not working. I had to use fire stairs and carry my luggage myself. Dirty carpets. Coffee table in my room still had stains from previous user. Room service food - sad.

Pleasant
Liked: Loved the establishment, staff, and facilities
Disliked: I was.in the room heard 2 knocks on the door and went to answer the door however someone had already unlocked and opened the door.apparantly they were staff however at 9.30pm they should not be entering the room unannounced. Also that there were no plugs near the bed.

Served a purpose as we...
Liked: Room was dated but clean and as expected. The bar was convenient as no coffee shops near by that were open on a Saturday afternoon. Bed was comfy.
Disliked: Check in was way too long. Over 30 mins waiting to be seen to. Breakfast was underwhelming for the price. Room was dated.

You pay for what you...
Liked: Whilst it was great for the price - the hygiene and cleanliness was seriously poor! The bed had a brown stain on the blanket, the floor beside the bed had a dirty band aid and treat wrappers behind the beside table. Not to mention parts of the carpet were sticky and the desk chair was covered in white stains. Move to the pool area and the ground was FILTHY, again had band aids on the ground, a wet towel was on the ground for days, and the ground was so slippery! Some kids fell over because of it. The worst part is, someone had room service there and for our whole trip, the room service was never taken away or cleaned up. When the cleaning service cleaned our room, they didn’t give us enough towels either. It was good for the money breakfast wise and comfort wise, but a smart TV from this century to at least watch Netflix on would have been nice. I also paid for a bond on arrival - there was no communication about when I’m getting that back? Breakfast was great! Options for everyone! It would be great if there was enough plates to eat off or I didn’t need to wait 15 minutes for one. All in all, you get what you pay for, would be interested to know if the Pullman side is looked after better and cleaned better.

Very enjoyable and comfortable
Liked: I really enjoyed my stay. My room was nice and had all the facilities I needed. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning and found it easy to understand their processes.

Great location close to the...
Liked: Enjoyed the valet parking, location, breakfast. Service was great.Big bed was very comfortable, and hot water very hot!
Disliked: No power-points by bedside - I'm travelling with a CPAP machine and was not able to access power to use the machine to aid my sleep, as all power-points appeared to be on the wall opposite the bed which my machine cord was not long enough to reach. This may be a reflection of the age of the hotel with the built-in lamps etc, but I would have expected for a hotel of this quality to have access to power at bedside. I will learn to travel with an extension cord in future!I was also allocated a room which only had blockout curtains, but no sheers, and faced the interior structure of the hotel with many other rooms' windows visible, so I had to have the block out curtains closed during daylight hours for privacy while getting dressed, and subsequently sitting by the window to read, which I did not enjoy. My travel companion - who booked a separate room for a single night - had sheers in her room, so this discrepancy seemed odd.Could not control aircon which was a bit cold for my taste.
