Wonderful stay, a stone's throw...

Liked: The room was nice and cosy for one person. I was very satisfied. The location of the hotel is nothing but excellent as I was interested in "Vieux Lyon". The breakfast, too, was excellent, although the tables were a bit too small. The quality of the food was excellent. The pressed oranges machine was great. The Cappuccino was -- I dare say -- better than any in Italy! The flowing water bottles I could use in the room were also a bonus.
Disliked: The table in the room was a bit too small, as I was working on my laptop. Yet, I managed to adapt myself. I would have liked to have milk in my room to add to my coffee.

Not caring about the clients

Disliked: The heating system did not work, and the room was cold. A heater was brought to the room, but it was not enough.I was together with my son, and now he is sick, he caught cold!

Overall, my stay was perfect...

Liked: The location is perfect, and the room is actually what you booked, I upgraded my room to double when my friend wants to stay with me one night. The staff was nice , the light in the room was a bit dark but it depends on you. The bar was ok , we spent at the bar with my friends and they liked it because it's calm with music and we enjoyed it. And I want to thank the staff at the front desk who was so nice but forgot his name. Who made it possible to transfer my rooms from single to double. I think he deserves to belong in a high position. He is very accommodating..
Disliked: less light in the room that we couldn't see if we were dressed up properly. But it's not a big issue at all. We are just used to having a brighter light when dressing up.✌️

Liked: The location and the cleanliness were tough to beat honestly a central location and my roommate always immaculate
Disliked: Some of the communication left much to be desired. For example, I expressed I didn’t want my room to be cleaned one day since it was raining outside and coming from Switzerland I am used to Sundays being more low key. I felt pressured to leave despite me making it clear I didn’t mind skipping one cleaning day. I was politely asked to vacate the room while the cleaning happened and thus I had to wander the city to find an umbrella to buy given that I was essentially booted from my room. Thus my lazy Sunday turned into me paying 14 euros for a shitty umbrella ant a tourist trap all so that my room could be cleaned. I honestly would have preferred paying the staff 14 euros to let me stay in my room. I understand the staff are doing their jobs and following protocols but at the same time I wished I could have stayed in this one Sunday and had skipped the cleaning like I had expressed. Also, the email I received prior to my arrival seems to indicate that the checkout process is easy and only requires a key drop (there was an asterisk so I’m assuming this is in special cases?). My train left Lyon at 6 in the evening and I was never told check out had to be at a certain time. Day of checkout I mentioned casually that I would like to check out at 4. The desk said this was surely not possibly that I needed to check out at 1 PM. I inhaled what lunch I had and was back at the front desk at 12:30. I handed over my key and the city tax was charged to the same card I placed the deposit with. Up until now, I have no idea how or why this exact protocol could not have been done at 4 pm. I don’t understand what was the rush when all the desk did was receive my key and ask if I wanted my receipt for the city tax paid by the card already on file. As a result, I had to wait for 5 hours in the Lyon Train in the freezing cold, paying to use the facilities when nature called. I understand that there are needed delineations between staying for X days and Y nights but still this was not said
