Disliked: The fact that the radiator was not working & was replaced with a portable one.

Liked: Room was great size . Coffee and tea loads of towels bed was super comfortable
Disliked: The heat was on all the time and I could not turn off in my room . As I was on ground floor I could not open a window. If I had been able to do this it would have been perfect.

Liked: We loved the location, the view over the river for breakfast was amazing! After a not so great start (below) we went for breakfast and the waitress Magda was absolutely amazing, so kind and friendly! My partner and son moved tables to the window to overlook the river better and Magda went out to feed the ducks/swans so my son could see them! She brought him over some biscuits and then took him out with some bread to feed the swans, he was over the moon and loved it! It really made our morning! It’s just such a shame we had such an awful start! It was a night away just the 3 of us for our sons birthday before a trip to Legoland and he loves staying in hotels!
Disliked: The evening staff weren’t very pleasant! The woman that checked us in strolled down the stairs on her phone huffing, we had been waiting to be checked in for 5 minutes, no apology and then she preceded to constantly huff and puff and say Jesus constantly! Not the best welcome… We went to our room (family) it was very cold so we decided to pop to the bar with our son who was so excited to stay! The bar men were not approachable at all, grumpy, not engaging as our son was excited to get his drink.I spoke to the first woman that checked us in to explain we needed 1 more cup, decaf tea, milk and another towel as there was only enough of everything for 2 people despite this being a family room… she looked at me like I was stupid and told me they are in the wardrobe, I explained I already looked and counted 2! 5am and the fire alarm started sounding, nothing from any members of staff, I went out into the hallway and there was 1 member of staff who told me to go back to my room it’s this room so not to worry… no apology! In addition, I feel that you may need to work a bit more on your family rooms to make them more inviting, there were no biscuits in the room and even though they knew it was 3 of us staying, it was like he didn’t count or 1 of us didn’t. I have stayed in Mercure hotels a lot before and apart from breakfast this was a real let down!

Liked: Rooms were lovely bed was huge.Restaurant was nice. Allowed late check out free of charge.
Disliked: The fire alarm went off twice during the 1st night which woke us up early in the morning.

Friendly staff and a lovely...

Liked: Ideal location. All the staff were pleasant and friendly. I had a lovely welcome from the staff at the front desk. Room was an excellent size and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and the host was nice to chat too. This hotel was excellent value for money and I would definitely stay again.
Disliked: I was a little disappointed to be charged £10 to park in the hotels carpark. I hadn’t realised this additional charge was applicable but, perhaps this was in the small print.

Liked: Really friendly staff, very clean, the food was nice! And the bed was extremely comfortable
Disliked: I would of liked a fridge in the room but I’m not sure if you can upgrade to this
