Great staff and facilities for...

Liked: Nice quiet location and had some charm to it albeit rooms a little tired and needing some love. Staff all very friendly (travelled with child and they all spoke to him and engaged which was nice) and health club facilities and breakfast spot on. Good value for money compared to premier inn etc. Would stop again.
Disliked: Rooms need some upgrading (stained carpets and walls). But still comfortable.

Disappointed after past visits being...

Liked: Room not properly cleaned. Covers just thrown across bed and nightwear just lying where it was left. Cups not wash. There was a bath but the only way to fill it was from shower. Member of staff came to room to help and was horrified. Offer bath in another room! We have stayed before and everything was fine, so very disappointed with this visit. If you want a bath avoid room 102.

Visiting Family in Hull

Liked: The breakfast service was fabulous, Linda and Nikki ensured everyone was looked after. The main reason for booking Mercure was because it was pet friendly and we could bring our puppy too.Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Our standard pet friendly room was basic. The bathroom is in need of an upgrade, mouldy sealant around bath and bathroom, toilet seat was squint, ceiling tiles were stained, beige stained carpet in hallways.

Very kind staff

Liked: This was a stay for my mum as my dad was in the nearby hospital, she was on her own over the Christmas period and she said how kind all of the staff were to her during her stay so thank you very much for looking after her

Liked: The pool although half of it was used for swimming lessons which was an inconvenience
Disliked: The rooms sheets where very unclean although they had a note bragging about how cleanliness is a thing they pride themselves at. I and the wife didn't think so at all
