Superb

Basic but what we needed.

Liked: The hotel was clean and has everything we needed.
Disliked: The bathroom was very dated. We had valet parking and we called before check out to make sure our car was ready when we wanted it. When we got to check out, our car was not ready and the driver parked it in the middle of the road for us to load our bag and children in (yes it’s a quietist road) but it was not safe.

Liked: Check-in was nice and easy, breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options and the size of the room was ok.
Disliked: Entering the room. The carpet had a massive bubble in it, the toilet continually kept filling up, mould on bathroom ceiling and aircon would not cool down. Coffee machine was not working one morning at breakfast.

An affordable base for weekend...

Liked: Good hotel for an affordable weekend stay with kids. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows available. Great location in a quieter part of the city. Good selection for breakfast. Great price on booking.com with inclusion of breakfast, valet parking and late check-out. Kids were very happy with roof top pool. Cafes downstairs were handy for coffee and lunch.
Disliked: Entry foyer could definitely do with an update, decor is very dated and dark. Older hotel so noise travelled from other rooms, but fine with earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Liked: Great layout of the room and very comfortable.
Disliked: A pod coffee machine would be a great improvement

Liked: Bathroom had hairs from the previous occupants. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly
Disliked: Hygiene was poor, poor staff manners

Liked: Very dated and ordinary property; certainly not up to the Mercure brand. Though the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I wanted to park my car at the hotel but was asked to pay $45; I wish these things are mentioned clearly in the T&C.
