Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel & Spa, Cardiff

Stayed for one night and enjoyed the stay very much. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and my husband and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Disliked: Water in the room would have been good. A little chilly but there were free standing electric heaters.

Liked: Had a very relaxing and enjoyable 2 days with my daughters and grandaughters . Used hotel has our base for some Christmas shopping.They all enjoyed using the pool to relax.
Disliked: All was perfect.

disappointing to say the least,...

Liked: The location from the motorway and the carparking are great and its very easy to find.
Disliked: Room was scruffy and looked tired, linen was clean but again looked quite old, we found dis guarded crisps along side the bed, also the bed moved constantly when you sat on it, walls were marked and corridors on the 12th floor were bashed about, our shower over flowed with water as is wasn't draining properly and it just looked like its needs some reinvestment from the owners, this used to be one of the premiere hotels in the city but sadly a premiere inn would have been better.

Liked: Room, location, cleanliness - excellent facilities.
Disliked: Restaurant food menu limited, ploughman’s sandwich disappointing - basic ham and cheese sandwich- no salad or pickle.Been coming for 5 years, first time having to pay to swim with the family for 30 minutes- £10 per adult on top of hotel charges and increased parking ! Really disappointing to learn additional charge for swimming.
