Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Turned up to check in and after several attempts at payment it was clear that none of the card machines at the hotel were working, so the receptionist took my card details to make a manual sale. Having processed the card manually the receptionist told me that the payment had been successful and gave me my room key. Then the next day after check out I was called by the hotel to say payment hadn’t been made so I gave my card details again over the phone twice more yet still payment doesn’t seem to have been taken. I am now being harassed by the hotel for payment a week later despite the reason for the issue being completely the hotel’s fault! Unbelievable!!

Place needs modernisation.

Disliked: Shower terrible. Room too hot, no control for temperature. Bed uncomfortable.

Lovely stay

Liked: Nice and quiet location, food was excellent. Hotel went the extra mile for are wedding anniversary.
Disliked: The upgrades I’d requested through booking. Com didn’t go through on my booking.

Very poor

Liked: My wife just had a shoulder replacement and we were offered a room suitable for disabled people. The state of this room was very poor, we mentioned it to the receptionist and got a £50 refund.

Tired old 80’s hotel, shocking...

Liked: The garden was lovely, coffee was good
Disliked: The room was cold, the place was tired, floors squeaky and decoration questionable, the breakfast was terrible, it’s the first time I’ve ever left a full English breakfast, microwaved, served on a tea plate, it was shockingly bad. I stay in a lot of hotels and this was admittedly a last minute thing, but it really was bad, as hotels go, the staff were nice and I couldn’t fault them, but really?

Liked: Good allround, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just the thing to set you up for the day and tasted great.
Disliked: Noisey floor wherever you trod in the room. Was quite annoying. Room was cold when we woke.
