My partner and I were quite surprised by this hotel. It was quite posh! However, there was a diverse clientele which was good to see. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a standard double room - the bed was comfy, the room clean, bath towels/toiletries were supplied and clean towels everyday! There was a kettle and different coffees/tea available which was extra handy. You just have to search the drawers for them. :) There were extra pillows and a half decent TV for those chill out moments relaxing. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel - we thought it seemed a little expensive, but we didn't see portions or anything so can't really comment, except that they were busy at breakfast! The staff were very nice and helpful. There is a bar underneath the hotel called Marlows which was an excellent place to have a quiet drink. We went to a gig on the Saturday night and didn't really fancy the busy clubs - Marlows was perfect for an evening drink. Lovely seating and atmosphere to the place. This hotel was great and although it's a tiny bit pricey, I would use this hotel again. Sometimes, money doesn't matter if you're looking for a good time. My partner and I had an excellent stay - the place was easy to find, and so close to town. Would definitely recommend!
Liked: Very central; easy access to town centre, O2 Academy etc.

Lovely hotel, great location, but...
Liked: The room was spacious, larger than we expected, really nicely decorated. The location is great, within walking distance from city centre and attractions.
Disliked: The reception staff was a bit all over the place. We were told that our payment was made when we checked in, but at check out, actually it wasn't, so we had to go through the same process again when we were in a hurry to get to the train station. The central heating in our room wasn't working, so we had a small electric heater that eventually did the job, but it took ages for the room to warm up.

Location good the rest bad
Liked: Location
Disliked: Hairs in the bath, shit on the floor in the room, cold room, slow lift, door key didn’t work, staff don’t listen properly, car park doesn’t work and made me waste 20 minutes of my day walking to and from because reception said it was fine

Nice stay for a short...
Liked: The breakfast was good, with good options available. Room was just right for the stay we planned. With a nice sized bathroom and shower.
Disliked: The pillows were on the soft side and no options in the room for more. Chewing gum left in the room on top of the phone.

Disappointed !
Liked: The location
Disliked: Very small room .Heating had broken down .No wardrobe ,no conditioner in the bathroom .Asked to pay £50.00 extra on arrival ,for ? And refunded on the way out .Need to check that ! When booking it advertises the room rate and all taxes and extra charges included .So wasn't expecting to pay £50.00 extra .

Awful hotel. Extremely overpriced, poorly...
Liked: The hotel is situated in the heart of all the action and there are a few convenience shops nearby for all your basic needs.
Disliked: Room 407 - The room was extremely small and extremely poorly designed. The 'wardrobe' (consisting of railing and not an actual wardrobe) was situated in front of the TV. (see attached picture). There was also no curtain on the bathroom window so you have no privacy. We were then moved to room 266 - The towels were dirty and the TV was broken. The receptionists were mostly unwelcoming and one of them was extremely patronising. Chris (a member of the night staff), was very helpful and did his best to fix the problems we had.I paid just under £150 for one night - for a room that was seriously subpar.
