Cool downtown property. Kitchenette was...
Liked: The location was fantastic. Outdoor seating areas were great too.
Disliked: There isn’t a front desk and staff are only available via text or call. I didn’t expect that with an inn and it changed the vibe to more of an Airbnb. Not a bad thing, just wasn’t expected and no one had mentioned it in reviews.

Liked: Quiet, very clean and home had all the bare necessities! Hot water right away when needed. Easy to adjust heat/ AC unit. Comfortable bed with soft sheets and awesome pillows. Just simple, charming place! When in the area again, I will definitely be giving them a call. Thank you!
Disliked: For me….nothing to say. Was great!

Disappointing Four Days
Liked: Other than its location in downtown Dunedin, I found little else to like for the cost of the accommodations. I found the quality of this recent stay greatly diminished from my past stays at the Meranova Guest Inn. The room provided efficiency accommodations (refrigerator, stove, cookware) but that was expected.
Disliked: I found my stay at the Meranova Guest Inn a complete disappointment from my past stays there some years before. Previously this location operated as a bed and breakfast in an older house filled with nice furniture and decorations with an outstanding Frühstück. Its owners were charming and wonderful to chat with who welcomed you upon arrival and brought breakfast to your room. The higher cost for those stays then was well worth the expense because it was a pleasure to be there. My last stay sadly was totally devoid of any human interaction. All actions to access the property upon arrival were done by mobile calls and text messages where codes were sent to enter the room. No breakfast meals were provided except for discounted food at a small restaurant next door. I was a little concerned about security as the front door was always unlocked; no key code was used to access the hallway leading to rooms at both levels. But I have to assume all access points were monitored by cameras. While I have used remote check-ins and access like this in in Europe and the US before, they are usually for locations providing much more economical accommodations. Considering the cost to stay here, one could find similar accommodations in Dunedin at far less expense.
